Venue

The IMT12 scientific sessions will take place at the Conference Room located in the Basement Floor of the Library Annex to the Chemistry Building of the Complutense University (see map here). Just in front of the Conference Room the Registration Desk will be located.

How to get there

To get to the Conference Venue from the Hotel area in Moncloa-Argüelles, the best option is probably the city public bus (blue color). You must walk to the Plaza de Moncloa - Princesa bus stop (4 blocks from Hotel Tirol) and take the bus G, that crosses all the campus. Leave at the bus stop 'Paraninfo - Matematicas' that is closest to the Conference Venue. The bus has a PA system that calls out the name of the stops. Individual tickets can be purchased from the bus driver (1.50€). However, it is convenient to purchase it in advance. At machines in the metro stations or in press-tobaco stores 10-trip tickets ('metrobús', good for both metro or city buses) are on sale at reduced rates (12.20€). There are also touristic season tickets, good for both metro and city buses,  more information here, you probbaly want zone A.   

Accommodation

Madrid is a large city with many options for accommodation.

Through our University Travel Office (bcdtravel) we have arrange couple of hotels offering a limited number of rooms to the IMT12 participants at special deals. Invited speakers will be lodging at the Hotel 'T3 Tirol' (one of the options offered) conveniently linked by public transportation to the Conference Venue.

Residencia Universitaria Galdós

In addition to the recommended hotels above, one University Residence offered us the following option:

The 'Residencia Universitaria Galdós' is located in-Campus (Calle Ramiro de Maeztu, 3) at a walking distance from the Conference Venue. It has offered us a limited number of rooms at a very good price: 

This fee includes breakfast, dinner and lunches (for the days not covered by the conference registration, if any) at the Residencia cafeteria. Parking garage is available for an extra fee (12 € / day).
