The IberoSing International Workshop 2022 will take place at Aula Miguel de Guzmán of the Faculty of Mathematics of Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) from 24th to 27th October 2022.
It aims to be a meeting place for both young and senior researchers in Singularity Theory, where some of the main topics in the theory are addressed in detail through 3 courses and various specialized talks. This is an hybrid event, prioritizing physical face-to-face interactions.
Deadline for registration: 15th September 2022. 15th October 2022 (without possibility to request financial support)
The objective of the courses will deal with the following topics:
- The Zariski multiplicity conjecture, which has been one of the main problems for the last 50 years in singularity theory,
- The monodromy conjecture, which is currently one of the most fascinating open spaces in the area due to the interaction between topology, algebraic geometry and number theory,
- The Lipschitz geometry of singularities, which is a topic of current research with numerous recent contributions.
Mini-courses
- “Floer Homology towards the Zariski conjecture” by Javier Fernández de Bobadilla/Tomasz Pełka (BCAM).
- “The Monodromy Conjecture” by Willem Veys (KU Leuven).
- “Lipschitz normal embedding of singular spaces“ by Lorenzo Fantini (Centre de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz-École Polytechnique de Paris).
Invited speakers
- Patrick Popescu-Pampu (Lab. Paul Painlevé, Univ. de Lille, France)
- José Seade (UNAM, Mexico)
- Irma Pallarés (K.U. Leuven, Belgium)
- Bárbara Karolline de Lima Pereira (UFSCar, Brazil)
