Welcome to the I MaPhyAG (Mathematical Physics and Algebraic Geometry) workshop, to take place in Madrid from 7th to 11th October 2024.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together mathematicians working in integrability, geometry and the mathematical side of quantum field theories with experts in theoretical physics. Physicists and mathematicians are working on naturally intersecting themes, specifically integrability and quantum field theories, but the collaboration between these two worlds is sometimes scarce.

In this direction, this conference marks the inaugural event of the newly established group in Mathematical Physics and Algebraic Geometry at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and the Interdisciplinary Mathematics Institute (IMI) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Furthermore, this conference aims to be the first of many, bridging these gaps and overcoming the geographical challenges to enhance interaction between the USA and Europe.
