VII MEETING ON FUNDAMENTAL COSMOLOGY
These annual meetings aim to provide a venue for discussion and exchange of ideas among the Spanish community of Physical Cosmology, bringing as well lead scientists from abroad in the topics of interest. This forum is intended to help us identify our challenges and opportunities for the future. It is being co-organized and co-funded by the Unidad de Excelencia María de Maeztu CIEMAT Física de Partículas, Instituto de Física de Partículas y del Cosmos (IPARCOS) of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the MultiDark network.
During the meeting, we will review different aspects of particular interest in cosmology. The structure of the meeting will be with 'plenary' presentations (no parallels) including a few keynote invited speakers. Some of the topics that we will cover are:
- Cosmology with galaxy surveys
- Theory and alternatives to LCDM
- Dark matter detection
- Cosmic microwave background
- Primordial black holes
- Gravitational waves
REGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The registration fee is 70 euros (except for invited speakers and students with grants for this meeting, see below), and will cover coffee breaks, the conference dinner on Tuesday 10th and a customized paper notepad.
Along with the keynote and invited speakers, the meeting will host a few short contributed talks from participants. If you are interested in giving a talk, please submit a title and abstract of your talk at the time of registration (there is a special section for this in the form). For registration with abstract submission, *the deadline is July 10th 2019*.
You can also register without presenting any talk, in which case the deadline is September 1st 2019.
FUNDING FOR EARLY CAREER SCIENTISTS
We have some funding available to cover a small number of people (students preferentially, we strongly suggest that all PhD students apply for it if you are willing to give a presentation). The funding will cover accommodation (in double rooms, shared with other participants), registration fee and dinner. You would still need to get traveling support from your home institution.
To apply for this funding, please register as an 'invited' participant (you won't have to pay anything at this time), before *July 10th 2019*. You are requested to submit an abstract for a contributed talk, as well as a short CV in the registration form to be considered for this grant. Selected students will be notified in early July, and those who cannot be accommodated with a grant will be requested to register again as a 'Standard' participant if they wish (their proposed talk will still be considered for inclusion in the program).
CONFERENCE DINNER
With the registration, we will offer a conference dinner on Tuesday 10th (TBC) in a place to be decided. We will choose a restaurant that offers vegetarian options. Also, if you have any intolerance or alergies, please let us know in the registration form.
If you come with a partner, please let us know in the registration form as well (60 euros, paid in cash once in Madrid).
